Nationwide Lifts of Pennsylvania is based in the Scranton area and serves homeowners throughout Lackawanna County, including Dunmore, Clarks Summit, Dickson City and Carbondale.
Scranton is a city of hills and of solid, older houses. Many are two and a half stories tall, set above the street with a run of concrete steps to the porch and a steep staircase inside. Families have lived in them for generations and have no wish to leave.
For the inside stairs, a stair lift is usually the quickest fix and fits even the narrow, straight flights typical of homes from the early 1900s. For the steps outside, an outdoor stair lift or a vertical platform lift makes the climb from the sidewalk safe in every season. And where a household needs wheelchair access between floors, a compact elevator can often be worked into an existing house.
In Scranton, Dunmore, Clarks Summit and Dickson City we install stair lifts on the steep staircases of older homes and outdoor platform lifts for the steps up from the street. For two-level homes the shaft-less LUMA elevator needs very little construction, and we also offer full home elevators and dumbwaiters.
